Football

Football!

As much as I don't look the type(At least I don't think so), I am an avid football fanatic. So what is it about football that I so dearly love? What is this 'sport' where so many men(or women) run around chasing a single ball? I do believe most of us by now, should know what football is though. If you haven't, I'd really like to know, Where in the world are you to not know what football is? The World cup just ended, and i'm sure 99% of human beings would at least take note of the competition that occurs every four years. The sport that actually unites people beyond religion and race and colour in supporting their teams.

I think that its safe to say that everyone who would actually find their way to this blog of mine would know about football.

(My fingers are freezing at the moment, air conditioning blowing straight at my hands)

So yeah, I love football! I love futsal! I love indoor football, 11 a side football. Or anything else that goes along that route. Yeah, I just love the sport.

I just love it when i manage to race past people with the ball. I love it when I play the perfect pass that literally splits the defence and produces a goal opportunity. I love it when I score! I love it how I sometimes do fantastic mind blowing touches that surprises even myself as their all instincts. At these times, I would only realize what I did after I've done them. I feel just as happy making the perfect assist as scoring the perfect goal. Even in keeper, I love it when I make fantastic saves and blocks. I feel glad whenever I manage to break up the opponents attack be it solely out of pressure, or a nice block or steal of the ball.

I also love to see people score fantastic goals and assists! I love to see people do fantastic footwork where I could only watch in awe as their probably the kind that I could only dream of doing.

Though I'd have to admit, footwork and skills aren't everything. If you watch the premier league, the majority of the players dont even do any fancy footwork and yet still gets the job done.

Ahh, I just love football! Me personally, I currently have 3 footballs of my own! two in manchester and one here. I have a pair of indoor and field shoes here in KK. I have an indoor, astroturf and outfield football shoes in Manchester. I have a number of genuine football jerseys and shorts as well.

(I actually have these two pairs of shoes)
(The black soles are for astroturf)

I am an avid Arsenal fan, though being in the city of Manchester. However, I'd have to admit and believe it is true in alot of cases, you'd tend to support one of your local clubs as well. For my case, in Manchester, I am a supporter of Manchester City. However, I always support Arsenal first! Hahah! I've always been an Arsenal fan since the Henry era. I used to love how he makes it look so easy to score all the fantastic goals that he creates.

(Thierry Henry in Arsenal)
(Man City Logo)

So yeah, back to the jerseys, I have both the home and away jerseys for man city for their last season which is 2009/10.

I also have the first and third kit jersey for The Arsenal for the last season.

I also have Fabregas Spain Jersey.

An Arsenal training top. and a pair of shorts that was meant for the Arsenal Home kit.
(Just remembered I actually have 2, another one is white, but couldn't find it on google..)

So yeah, I love football!

I have to admit though, before coming to Manchester, I wasn't a die hard fan of football. Not to the extreme at least. Before that, I was the I like playing football and occasionally watch a match or 2 of the arsenal or some other team that grand dad watches on tv. While I was in Malaysia, I never really stayed up to watch a match or had any jerseys for any team, though I was supporting Arsenal already then.

Anyways, It's kinda late, and I guess I should sign off now, hahah! Peace out people!

PS. I'm sorry if this is a waste of time for you to read, I'm just really really passionate about the sport! =)

Why can't I not procrastinate!?

Ahhh!!! Why am I wasting time again? Why can't I keep my focus on studying when I don't have anything else to do even? Ugh, its so annoying that my biggest flaw and weakness to succeeding all these while is the disability to not procrastinate!

Procrastination refers to the counterproductive deferment of actions or tasks to a later time.

Yeah, I have a big problem. I think, the biggest problem with me is my tendency to procrastinate- excessively, I must admit.

Sigh, so why do I waste time when I don't have anything else to do? Why do I still delay what needs to be done when there aren't any excuses anymore, to the point where I aimlessly surf the net for things to do, even though I don't need to, as there are things, already to be done. For my case, studying.

If only I can stay focus and not procrastinate, I'd probably be a first class student again and not be facing the problems I am facing now... Ugh, I wouldn't even need to worry about it atm, had I actually stayed completely focused for a few days, I'd prolly be doing past years by now, and be able to spend my time joyfully.. hahah!

But no! That's just not how I function unfortunately... Sigh... I know it is a massive issue that I dearly need to resolve, but I just cant! I KNOW I shouldn't do things last minute, but I STILL do! I KNOW I should get the studying over with soon, but I don't seem to make the effort to do so... Sigh, I just don't understand why do I have this tendency to waste time and procrastinate. I REALLY NEED to get rid of this problem.

There are thousands of IFs that appear in my head just thinking of the biggest IF of all. IF only I didn't procrastinate!

1. I wouldn't need to blog about this
2. I would probably be in the top few in my course(Perasan)
3. I would probably be lying in my bed able to watch a cartoon series I am watching at the moment comfortably knowing that I already completed studying for the resits.
4. I wouldn't need to do the resits at all.
5. I would not be annoyed at my brother who is really annoying me right now as I wouldn't be typing this blog in...
and so on...

Anyhow, my brother has totally threw me off the blogging mode and my brain is totally pissed and dead at the moment, hopefully I wouldn't procrastinate after this and get back to studying. (He still can't shut up, ugh!)

Peace out people!

of Juliet having her babies!

Hey people,
I know I haven't wrote in here in a few days now, to be honest there isn't much to say these days.

Nothing much has happened recently, except of course my dear Juliet having her babies! hahah, and coincidently, it resides on the same day as my cousin's birthday which we celebrated here on the same day. Yeah, Juliet gave birth on Friday 13th of August. Hahah!

Freakky enough, I just realized it was Friday the 13th! Vampire kittens! blurgh.
Anyhow, I just took photos of the little babies today! She gave birth to 4 of them, and shes such a sweet mother, though still very young I have to admit, but shes doing a wonderful job taking care of her litter!

We let Juliet out yesterday and today, and of course, lock all the other cats up in their own cages so that they wont disturb Juliet's babies. We have yet to check on how males and females there are but here are their photos!

Shes a great mother, every few minutes returning back to the litter to check up on them even though she goes around the living room today. And she would hiss at anything and anyone she deems a threat to her litter.

Ahhh, but she still acts like a kitten herself though, but not as much as Torres I'd have to say. For those of you who, don't already know about my 5 cats, here's the link to an older post all about them. =)

http://unscriptedtales.blogspot.com/2010/07/of-cats-and-kittens.html

Well, I have 6 cats actually, but I have yet to take photos of the other cat, who is a Siamese who stays in the outside of the house and kitchen area instead. He can't realy mix with the others really as he tends to get in a fight with the others if they meet.

Anyhow, now I have 10!

My family have yet to think up of names for our new kittens yet, as we are unsure how many females and males we have just yet. Will update everyone on that when we have decided.

Another thought I ought to mention is that Juliet is not yet 1 year old yet, and she is actually way to young to be a mother, and most breeders would deem a kitten/cat her age not mature enough to take care of a litter, but so far she has been a fine mother. =) What I thought would be weird is that, the next time I come back home, Juliet's babies would probably be older than Juliet is now. =/ Weird enough. I still blame the rapist!

Anyhow, that's all for now people, take care!

Why can't you just appreciate what you already have?

Why can't you just appreciate what you already have?

Why is it that by human nature, we can't be grateful with what we already have?

Sigh.. I guess it is just natural for us to want new and better things. Be it a new phone, computer or tv. Im sure noone would reject the notion of someone giving us the latest most advanced computer if it doesnt cause any trouble to anyone else. Or maybe the latest Iphone 4G for free? would you reject it if it were offered to you with no charge at all? I know I wouldn't.
The only problem t0 this is, nothing is free.
Nothing comes for free without first having to put in work and effort into it.

Lets put it this way.
If you want a new car, you have to work to get and save money before being able to afford it. However, why do you still want a new one even though when you finally got that car that you worked hard for, after using it for a year or 2?
Its mind boggling why this is the case. As much as I don't need a new laptop at the moment, I do want a new 1, even though mine is still perfectly fine.
(I''d love to have any of these two lappies)
But why is this the case?

Its annoying that, I do want a new 1, though my current 1 is perfectly fine. Can't I just be satisfied with it?

How I wish I could.

Randomness

Facebook Games?

Man some people don't seem to have a life. Its the summer break, most people will be travelling around the world or just stay at home with their families.

But a certain number of people, don't even talk to their families while at home. Internet Addiction? Thats what they call spending about a third of their day in front of the computer.

So what is it that they do? Play online games excessively, aimlessly surf the net, stalk on friends and family on facebook and alot of other stuff that need not be mentioned.

People like this suffer from depression, and anti-social(ness?). They don't go out and keep themselves locked in their own rooms, or computer rooms, or wherever their computer maybe. They don't meet people nor worry about friends. Who cares about real life friends, when you have loads of cyber friends ey. Some of these people, play role playing games to the point where that is their life. Screw eating and drinking, my player just showered and ate.

The cyber world these days really has changed humankind quite dramatically. Back when I was a child, I rarely played computer games. Just the occasional few. It was mostly tv. And even then, those were either through the old-school method of aerial tv. No such thing as Astro at the time. If not that, there would be the old school cassetes or was it called tapes? To be honest, I've never been able to tell which is which. But i'm pretty sure everyone knows what I mean.

These days, children at the age of 7 already use handphones. Kids only just learning to read are on the net chatting on all sorts of instant messaging programs. Its amazing how times have changed. I got my first handphone at the age of 14 or 15. Thats twice the age of kids these days. Science and technology is moving so quickly that it is having a big impact on human lives, though we don't notice it. All these phones and computers and internet becoming cheaper and cheaper has led to the ease of parents giving children phones and computers at such a tender age.

Sooner than you know it, we'd be flying cars. Don't be surprised if it does happen.

Ahh, my chain of thought is really weird innit?

I started of with this post thinking of saying that I'm close to being an internet addict. Or probably I already am, but got carried away into this.

Well, I have a really strange way of thinking I guess? I make links.

Thats how I describe it at least. And it also helps me remember. Linking 1 thing to another actualy helps.

Whatever, I wrote some random stuff and just deleted it. Doesn't seem to make sense.

Anyhow, I'm gonna sign off.

Hope you enjoyed the read of random stuff that goes to my brain.

Peace out!

Twin towers

Ramblings

Hey people,

Im in KL right now, and will be leaving in about 36 hours. Anyhow, thought I'd just do some ramblings.

I feel like theres this path, that seems to gradually appear before me. Not sure where it will lead me, but it seems to appear though. I'm annoyed by the fact, that it is appearing, but confused as well, as it is really an option that I could take really. I mean like, all this while I thought this is the path I would take, but it seems like this other path that appears seems to be quite possible(?)

I guess I just needed to express myself abit, hahah, prolly just my brain being a tad bit tired with all the walking and skating and lack of sleep! ahhh

Later today, I'll be going to KLCC, will meet a few people hopefully! See how things go. Anyways, the next post will be of the photo of KLCC that I took while stuck in a jam a few days ago.

Peace out people!

Of fishing with Ikhwan at Mengkabung(Not sure how to spell that)

Hey people!

As said in the earlier post, will post here the tales of my time going fishing with Ikhwan.

It was last Saturday.

I had futsal in the morning from 10-12. I slept at 3.30 and woke up at 9. Went to futsal. Was quite off target. Then went back. On the way back, fetched Ikhwan.

Here the story starts, alright, now as I reached back, got my servant to fry some eggs and cut some fruits for me to eat breakfast(More like lunch). Fruits for the dessert and to offer Ikhwan.

Got the stuff ready, all the fishing gears that is.
1.Fishing rods
2.Spare fishing line
3.Some weights
4.Some swivels
5.Some hooks

Pretty much all set really. Then off to look for bait!

On the way, I saw the usual fishing store and dropped by to restock on fishing equipment(Hooks and weights(Stones i'd call it from now on) and some swivel as we needed more)

Done, all stocked up, then on to get baits, went to the small pasar*(would you call it pasar ikhwan?) got a bait that we normally used with my family. Ikan basung or basungan. or whatever you call it, but that 1.

Now all set to fishing.

Finally!

A good 20+minutes drive I think, didnt time it. Finally reach the place where we wanted to.

Now all set and got our fishing gear ready at the "boat docks?". Well there, anyhow, first thing was to set up the hooks, swivels and stones to the fishing line. Set up mine, then set up Ikhwan's.

Yay! Finally we can fish, 1st throw to show Ikhwan how to throw(whats the proper word for this?) the bait out, abit not right, as the roof in the dock was rather low and disturbing.

So I threw it again. Poof! The top half of the fishing rod flew of into the sea. I was like "Oh shit!" Ikhwan was just staring not realizing at first. then i told him the top part flew in the water. ahahahah!

So yeah, thank goodness, the swivel, stone and hook was all intake, and we could reel in the top bit.

To add to that embarassment, the dock had 4-5 people, 2-3 of them working on repairing it. Not sure wether they saw though! Hahaha!

So yeah, Ikhwan said he already pushed the top bit in to the max. I didn't check properly before showing him how to throw it so yeah, its partly my fault.

But thats not the main reason though. Apparently there was some soil and weird white and black goo that looks like smashed fly larvae and swamp soil in the hole of the main part of the rod where ur supposed to put the top part in.

So I borrowed Ikhwan my fishing rod instead while I try to properly put in the fishing rod. It took me about 45 mins to 1 hour just trying to clear the hole out properly and finally put in the rod properly! What a waste of time!

(Told my mum about this(It was her rod) and she said Jerrick(My cousin) was the one who played with it before, and saying he oked it into the soil back at home.)

So yeah, we finally got both fishing rods working. But I got annoyed though. I couldnt throw the bait far enough as the roof was really low. To add to the problem, the people were repairing the dock was hammering away so it probably scared off all the fishes. So in the end(I should have mentioned this earlier), we took the offer of Ikhwan's Mom's friend of hiring a boat to somewhere along the river/sea to a better fishing spot. So yeah, got there, under the Mengkabung bridge. One of the pillars(?). Surrounded by water like a really small island. And told the dude to come pick is up at 5. It was around 2-3 then I think. So yeah, now I was excited, as I've been wanting to hire a boat to get on here in ages. All this while we only went fishing in a more rocky area at side of the river where its much shallower with sharp and jagged rocks where our fishing hooks, swivels and stones kept getting stuck and lost. So yeah, now on this island(hahah) we were surrounded by really deep water, with very strong currents. Which is the closest I could get to deep sea fishing.( I ever caught a baracuda in the nearby shallower area i mentioned earlier.) Hahah!

(Mengkabung river)

So yeah, got our baits in the river/sea and waited. While waiting, I ended up getting one of the line roll thingies to become proper fishing stuff without the rods. (Ohhh, its called a spool, just check it on google) As I lowered it down to the sea/river. I noticed that all around the 'island' was little baby fishes. Now realizing the hook was too big to hook them in. I got another spool and set it up with smaller, stone and hook so that I might be able to catch them(Net would have been so much easier).(A spool)

As I was doing this, my rod started moving. The usual action of a bite. So i dropped what I was doing and started to reel it in. First it sort of felt like it got away, so i slowed down. Then the 'fish' pulled again, so i reeled it in quickly. When I finally did, voila! nothing but bait! ahhh... we got excited and I told Ikhwan to text the dude to pick us up at 6 instead. Expecting more fishes to come as this was normaly the time all the fishes start biting when my family goes fishing here.

Then I got back to setting up the spool and lowered it slowly to the baby fishes.

To my surprise! They completely ignored the bait. Completely unlike the usual way where they all start fighting over it!

Now I thought there was something fishy going on(funny enough~!) From here till 6 o clock, there wasn't actually anymore action happening!

Seriously nothing!

Before 6, ikhwan ended up making a whole fish as a bait. ahaha!

At 6 the dude with the boat came, and Ikhwan reeled in his bait. The dude thought he caught it! and was saying "Wow! You caught a big fish!" In Malay that is. I was like, oh its the bait actually.

Now, we got back in the boat, packed everything up(First time fishing without catching a single fish for my part) Back to where the dock was. Ikhwan's Mum's friend gave us some pisang goreng and some tea to drink. We headed back home.

Few hours later, Ikhwan texted me. Well maybe not a few, prolly just and hour plus later. yeah, Ikhwan texted me saying these exact words.

"...btw, the fish we bought was temenung..hahaha.. no wonder.lol"

Now theres the reason why!! it wasnt ikan basung!! temenung unlike the basung, had much lesser "smell" in the water and thus, fishes dont attract to them(Not even the baby fishes which was a surprise)

So yeah, the lesson of the story is, next time you go fishing, make sure you got the right bait!
